Expanding Employee Ownership in South Korean Company

The largest shipbuilder in South Korea, Hyundai Heavy Industries, announced that it had raised 1.2 trillion won ($1.13 billion) through an issuance of new shares. A spokesperson for the company noted that the company's largest shareholder, a trust that represents employees of the company and a related company, participated in purchasing the new shares.
