U.S. Treasury Program to Support EO Transactions and Working Capital: Update

The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced the 31 states that have received credit funds totaling $10 billion under the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI). The states, in alphabetical order, are Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, and West Virginia.

The 2022 Fall ESOP Forum: Thank You!

The NCEO's Fall ESOP Forum was held in St. Louis last week, and we offer a huge thank-you to the people who joined us there and showed so much enthusiasm for making employee ownership thrive. It's always our fondest hope here at the NCEO that participants leave every NCEO event not simply with a new piece of information or a bunch of notes on corporate governance but instead with the ability and readiness to do something when you get home that you couldn't do before.

The NCEO Welcomes Our New Senior Director of Events

The NCEO is delighted to announce that, following a national job search, we have filled a new position that will oversee all of the NCEO's in-person and virtual events. The new position, our senior director of events, will be filled by Jaymie Oviedo, who is moving to this position from her prior NCEO staff role as our conference coordinator.

The New Chair of the NCEO's Board of Directors

Victor Aspengren has succeeded Mary Boettcher as the chair of the NCEO's board of directors as of today. Mary had been the chair of the NCEO's board of directors since 2019; as the chief steward of the organization's mission to help employee ownership thrive, Mary says, " I am grateful for the opportunity to have served as chair of this extraordinary organization for the past three years. What a tumultuous time period for any organization, and none displayed more strength, determination, and agility than the NCEO. NCEO staff continues to deliver outstanding critical educational resources and research to support our employee ownership community and their passion to serve and grow employee ownership is ever-present. I look forward to continuing to serve as immediate past chair on the board of directors for the next two years!"
