NCEO Board Election Opens January 3
The election for the NCEO’s board of directors opens on January 3 for three-year terms that begin on April 1, 2024. NCEO members in good standing will receive an email on January 3 with the subject line "Invitation to the ballot for the NCEO board elections," which will include a link to a confidential electronic ballot. Directors will be selected through this election and by appointment by the existing board. Balloting will end on January 19.
Members of the NCEO's board of directors serve on a volunteer basis and actively contribute to the NCEO's projects and activities in support of our mission to make employee ownership thrive. This year’s slate includes five candidates for four positions. In alphabetical order, they are:
- Howard L. Kaplan, Kaplan Fiduciary Group
- Todd Leverette, Apis & Heritage (incumbent)
- Linshuang Lu, Praxis Consulting Group (incumbent)
- Mike Mallaro, VGM Group (incumbent)
- Kerry Siggins, StoneAge

The terms of three board members, Mary Boettcher, Matt Keene, and Amanda Wolkowitz, will end on March 31; Matt and Mary are members of the board's executive committee. The NCEO is ever-grateful for their wisdom and contributions. Matt has served continuously on the NCEO's board since 2015 and has been an executive committee member since 2016. Mary joined the board in 2014, became an executive committee member in 2016, and served as board chair from 2019 to 2021. Matt and Mary were essential to helping the NCEO navigate the threats and opportunities of several tumultuous years. They deserve no small credit for the NCEO's strength, tenacity, and commitment to mission and value.
