Join us for this informative session to discover how your fellow ESOP companies are benefiting from “swimming in a cleaner pool” through their membership in OWN Health. Launched in 2021 as a health insurance captive exclusive to ESOP companies, OWN Health provides ESOPs with significantly lower healthcare costs than traditional health insurance. You will hear from member companies how they have leveraged the transparency, programs tools and member resources to lower costs, better health outcomes for employee-owners, and improved program stability.

Learning Outcomes: 

1. Participant will be able to demonstrate understanding of how health insurance captive programs work and why employee-owned companies are a good fit for this alternative health insurance financing model.
2. Participant will be able to list the benefits of captive membership to the ESOP organization and its employee-owners.
3. Participant will be able to recall specific examples from the experience of OWN Health members which highlight the opportunity for health plan savings and improved employee-owner health through participation in the captive program

Pim Jager is a Vice President and Employee Benefits Consultant with Scott Insurance, an ESOP Agency providing Risk Management and Employee Benefits Consulting services. Pim has over 20 years of experience in the areas of human resources administration, workforce management and benefits consulting and has been an industry leader in building captive insurance programs for employee benefits. In 2021 Pim served as the Advising Consultant to the NCEO in the successful launch of the OWN Health Captive, a health insurance captive exclusive to ESOP companies.
