The maximum amount that can be added to an employee's account for all defined contribution plan contributions has been increased from $30,000 per year to $35,000. The increase is based on an indexing formula that came into effect for the first time this year.

The NCEO/Beyster Institute Annual Conference held earlier this month in Minneapolis had 814 attendees, just below the all-time record. Thanks to everyone who attended. Plan ahead for next year's meeting April 13-15 in Denver, with a preconference session on equity compensation on April 12.
The NCEO's annual conference in Seattle last month hosted about 1,065 attendees, another new record and the fourth consecutive record year that attendance has increased. Next year we will be in Atlanta for the first time. The meeting is set for April 8-10.
The NCEO/Beyster Institute Conference in St. Paul drew a record 770 attendees. A highlight of the conference was the first annual Employee Ownership Innovations Awards.
The NCEO is again cosponsoring the National Gathering of Games Conference, to be held this year March 15-17 at the St. Louis Pavilion Hotel Downtown in St. Louis, MO. The Gathering of Games is the only national conference focused on open-book management and the Great Game of Business.
Another very large company has been bought by a 100% ESOP. Nypro is a half-billion dollar contract manufacturer of plastics injection molding. It employs 5,500 people worldwide, including 2,500 in the U.S. who will be eligible for the ESOP.
